Welcome to MorningStar Woollen and Flora: a regenerative farm in the Alberni Valley where I lovingly raise sheep, grow and design bespoke florals, and host intimate workshops that build community and expand your horizons.

At MorningStar Flora, I grow distinct florals that burst with vibrant life and untamed beauty. Whether you’re seeking a single bespoke bouquet, adorning your home all season long with a CSA subscription, or looking to collaborate as a florist or retailer, these starlit blooms are beauty that’s meant to be shared.
Three plant dye workshops will be offered this season. I have the great fortune of collaborating with Charmaine of Little Song Farm, on Bowen Island. We will be growing and cohosting these events at her farm! Thank you Charmaine!
MorningStar Woollens offers unique, 100% Canadian estate yarn, patterns, and handmade finished goods. We provide more than just clothing; we offer a narrative of sustainability and ethical practices, inviting individuals to embrace a more conscious approach to fashion. Our mission is to foster a tangible connection between the wearer and Mother Earth, embodying a deep reverence for nature.

Hi, I’m Star… I’m a flower farmer, designer, and owner of MorningStar Woollen – a regenerative farm in the Alberni Valley. I raise sheep, poultry, host workshops & events and coming soon… accommodations (more about that later)! All these offerings provide me with a space to share my passion for carefully grown beauty. If you’ve been following along for a bit, then you may know – my family and I just lived through a massive move! Uprooting my family, flock, home and even some flowers we are now located on 70 pristine acres in Port Alberni! The farm is a blank canvas, and I am brimming with big ideas on how to enhance while tending this beautiful land. This season the flock is expanding and so has the flower field! I have big plans to offer more workshops, events, and accommodations soon. Xoxo * I will continue to use progressive and synergistic farming practices. Authenticity & Values
We believe that some of the questions we have about health, human connection and sustainability can be answered by quietly observing and responding authentically to nature. We value physical and mental health, creativity, community and nature's role in facilitating all three.
Learning & Educating
One of our passions is sharing what we learn with you - lessons from the classroom, our neighbours, the global farming community and the unfolding of life moment by moment and season by season on the farm. We are led by nature's perfect simplicity, warmth and beauty to create garments that serve people and the environment. Our background in design and passion for natural fibers inspired our foray into ranching, but the raw and delicate artistry of nature has us hooked on the exquisite energy of slow clothing.
